Phils take Game 1

The Philadelphia Phillies take game one of a three game set against the Redsox.

Cliff Lee goes up against Josh Beckett. Josh Beckett got into some early trouble, in the second inning Domonic Brown hit a two run Homer. Three innings later, Cliff Lee hit a sacrifice fly to left field to left field. One inning later Shane Victorino hit a two run homer to make it a five to nothing game.

Cliff Lee gets a shutout and a win he improves to nine and five. Beckett gets the loss he is now six and three.

The Yanks take the game one of the Double header by a final score of 4-2 over the Reds, but I'm here to talk about how the yanks fell apart in game 2.

In the first inning Cris Hiesey hit a solo shot to lead off the game for the Reds. In the second inning Nick Swisher answered back with a solo shot. A half inning later Jonny Gomes Homered for the Reds. In the fifth inning cris Hiesey homered again this time it was a two run shot. There were three RBI's in the seventh. They were from Scott Rolen, Brandon Phillips, and Jay Bruce.

There were three RBI's in the eighth one was from Alex Rodriguez(Yankees). The others were from Scott Rolen( Reds) and Cris Hiesey (Reds).

The big 1,000

I just got my one thousandth post today. Plus today is my birthday.

My blog started the day after I got home from the Polcanos at the end of last August. My mom had a blog and i wanted one too.

So 1 got one and my friends helped me in the beginning months, but by December it was only me.

By the way I'm only a kid.

The phillies take the rubber match

The Phillies defeated the pirates by score of 7-3. The Phils still lost the series.

The first run to cross the plate was a two homer to right center off the bat of Neil Walker in the first inning.

In the fourth inning Raul Ibanez hit a sac fly to center field and Utley came around third to score and Howard went to third. One inning later Ryan Howard hit a sac fly to center field, Shane Victorino scored, Polanco went to third, and Utley to second. Then Raul Ibanez walked after that Carlos Ruiz was hit by a pitch and a run scored.

In the sixth inning Placido Polanco singled and Roy Halladay scored. In the eighth inning Ryan Howard singled, Placido Polanco scored and Chase Utley went to second.

In the eighth inning Andrew McCutchen singled and Jerry Hairston scored.

In the ninth inning Shane Victorino singled, Wilson Valdez scored and Ben Francisco went to second. In the same inning Ryan Howard singled, Ben Francisco scored and Shane Victorino went first to third.

13 year Killed by pitch

On Tuesday, a 13 year old Hayden Walton was hit by a pitch and died.

The boy was hit right above the heart which caused his heart to stop pumping blood. This happened when he was attempting to bunt. Winslow Little league umpire Jamey Jones said, "he took an inside pitch right in the chest."

Hayden was immediately taken to the hospital, but he never recovered and as pronounced dead on Wednesday morning.
