Billups out for another

The New York Knicks Chauncey Billups has been taken out of his fourth straight game. Billups knee kept getting worse.

He was thinking about playing against the Atlanta Hawks two days ago but he decided to sit out and his knee did not get better. He sat out for his fourth straight against the Utah Jazz on Monday.

He has had the injury since last Tuesday when they played the Magic. The injury was suffered when he collided with Orlando center Dwight Howard.

Billups was replaced by Toney Douglas he has been averaging 15 points a game and he is shooting 61 percent. He has 17 assists and 7 turnovers. Jeffries got 11.5 rebounds in 26.5 minutes in his last two games.

Billups has been a linchpin for the Knicks (31-29), He is averaging 23.3 points and six assists in four games with the New York Knicks. Billups came to New York on Feb. 22 in a thirteen player deal that included Carmello Anthony and another team ont just the Knicks and Nuggets.
