The Philadelphia Phillies just swept the Washington Nationals.
In the first game of the series Cole Hamels pitched a complete game only giving up one run. The Phillies won that game 4-1.
In the second game of the series the Phillies had Vance Worley start for the injured Joe Blanton. Vance went six innings and gave up one run. Then the Phillies bullpen gave up three runs. Luckily the Phillies offense put up 7 runs so the final score was 7-4, Philies win.
The final game of the series Roy Halladay pitched for the Philadelphia Phillies and gave up two runs over eight innings pitched. Then Ryan Madson came in and got the save. The Phillies won that one 7-2.
While I admit to being a Phillies fan and a "homer"....everyone has got to admit being tied for the best record in baseball, and doing this without Chase, Brad and Chooch is quite awesome!
