During the fourth inning of the Phillies Braves game Ryan Howard made a sliding catch into the first base side wall.

Big Fight in Philly

At the Philadelphia Phillie's vs. Houston Astros Ryan Howard was batting then he checks his swing. The home plate umpire points to third base umpire and calls strike, then on the next pitch Howard clearly checks his swing and the third base umpire says he went. Then Howard stares down at him and so the umpire throws him out of the game. Howard charges down the base line at the ump. Next the Phillie's dug out unloads. Polanco tries holding Howard back and hurts his shoulder. Thankfully they stopped Howard before he got to get to the ump and throws out Ross Gload. So then they send Oswalt to left and Ibanes to first.

Phillies first baseman Ryan Howard had a rough day today in the Phillies win over the Nationals.

The injury whammy struck the Phillies again today early in the 1st inning against the Nationals. Ryan Howard got hit in the elbow with a pitch and then twisted his ankle a few pitches later. Ben Francisco hit a single and Howard rounded 2nd, thinking about 3rd base. He awkwardly rushed back to 2nd and his ankle turned over. Howard had to be helped off the field; even worse, he got an Atomic wedgie in the process.
