Lee and Halladay go back to back

Cliff Lee is just the third Phillies pitcher in the last 30 seasons to throw a shutout with at least 12 strikeouts and three or fewer hit.

On Wednesday Roy Halladay threw a complete game against the Washington Nationals and on Thursday Cliff Lee tossed a three hit sutout against the Nationals.

They are the first Phillies pitchers to throw back to back complete games and win, since Bruce Ruffin and Don Carman did against the Mets in 1988. The last Phillies pitchers to throw back to back complete games was Paul Byrd and Curt Schilling.
