A Big Upset for the Celtics

The New Jersey Nets shock the Boston Celtics with a 88-79 win for the Nets. The Nets first five game winning streak since December and January of 2007 and 2008.

In the final seconds of the fourth quarter the Net point guard Williams was pulled out of the game for his wrist. The doctor said it needed up to weeks rest. Williams said, "I can't take that kind of time off right now." The Nets are down six games in their division with about 18 games left in their season.

Coach Johnson of the Nets said, "in the last couple of games they beat teams under .500. Then they beat practically the best team in the league."

The top scorers for New Jersey Nets was B. Lopez with 20 points. The top scorer for the Boston Celtics was Allen with 19 points. The top rebounder was Humphries with 12 (16 points seventh straight double double for him).

The final score was Nets 88 and Celtics 79.
