Chase Utley Knee Injury

Chase Utley of the Philadelphia Phillies has had to sit out of two strait games - Saturday against the Yankees and Sunday against the Yankees. Utley has Patella Tendinitis in his right knee.

On Saturday Utley had an MRI on his right knee during the game.

It was bothering Utley so he got the MRI and it was also bothering General Manager Ruben Amaro Jr. Utley still took normal batting practice. His knee becomes painfully explosive in things like fielding and running.

  1. I hope it's nothing serious. The last thing we need is for Utley to be out when the season starts.

  2. Thanks All Around Sports kid for this thorough update on my favorite Phillies player of all time. Chase did say that if this were happening during the season he would try and play through it........hopefully this time off now will ensure a successful 2011 season for him and the Philles.
